It has a numeric pad and plenty of other buttons to control the features. The remote has white body and black colored buttons are on it. If you are disheartened by the huge remote control, it is possible to download the easy to use Onkyo Remote Control App which supports Android and iOS based devices. Connectivity: almost spot-on Most Onkyo AV receivers fare well on connectivity fronts and this one is no exception. You get six analog stereo inputs along with one analog stereo line outputs. For Vinyl record fans, there is a dedicated phono input. You also get a couple of digital coaxial and digital optical audio inputs. They, however accept dual channel PCM- and there is no support for DTS or Dolby Digital setups.  A headphone jack is there at the front, and you also get terminals for left and right speakers. The Onkyo TX-8160 network stereo receiver also has, a Zone 2 line output to send both analog and digital sources to another external amplifier located in another room. You cannot use Bluetooth sources and internet streaming at the same time in two zones. You get AM/FM tuner for listening to popular radio stations. Features: Quite a Handful Wireless connectivity- While you can very well plug-in a USB drive at the USB port at front and play back audio files, that is not the only option. The Onkyo 8160 offers oodles of wireless connectivity options. It has inbuilt support for WiFi and Bluetooth technologies. This essentially means you can use your Smartphone, tablet or laptop to stream songs wirelessly to the receiver and lay back without hassles. Apple fanboys will love the inbuilt support for Apple AirPlay technology. It is also DLNA-certified. Web streaming support- Internet based streaming services are hugely popular with a lot of people nowadays. They prefer streaming music and video from those online streaming services on their PC and Smartphone a lot. With the Onkyo 8160 it is simple.
